Swimming progress of Year 6 children:

66 children can swim 25 metres
54 children can swim the front crawl confidently
57 children can swim the back stroke confidently
63 children can swim the breast stroke confidently
28 children can swim butterfly confidently
39 children can swim dolphin stroke confidently
35 children are positive that they could perform a safe self-rescue from the water if necessary.

February 2018

Year 3/4 Level 1 Gymnastics – Two teams competed and one team came 2nd overall
Year 3/4 Level 2 Gymnastics – Team came 3rd overall
Cross Country Level 2 – 3 children qualified for Level 3 competition. They qualified in 1st, 4th and 6th place.
KS2 Level 1 Indoor Athletics – Team came 2nd overall
KS1 Gymnastics competition – 2 teams took part
KS2 Level 1 Hockey competition – 2 teams took part. They placed 6th and 2nd.
KS2 Level 1 Basketball – Team came 4th overall

Yr 5 completed a sports leaders course

Schools Swimming Gala – 3rd overall

Swimming Trials – Two children qualified for the county gala

Queensway Athletics – event in Wrexham, Year 5/6 came 1st, we were 2nd overall

KS2 team competed in a gymnastics competition at the Border Counties School of Gymnastics

We won the cross country competition
