Woodside Primary School Oswestry……… a good place to be

The children return to school today after the half term break.

Diary dates this week:

Children in KS1 and Year 3 will be visiting Booka, Oswestry’s brilliant independent bookshop, on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday this week. Parents/carers have been informed which day their child is visiting.

Author Rob Biddolph will be in school on Wednesday afternoon to work with children in Early Years Phase 3 and KS1.

Children in Year 4 will be visiting The Marches School on Thursday morning to work with authors Andy Griffiths, Sibeal Pounder and Stephanie Burgess.

World Book Day is is Thursday but we will be celebrating it on Friday! The children are invited to come to school dressed as their favourite book character.

The children in Early Years Phase 2 (Nursery) will be visiting Booka on Friday afternoon.

Our whole school learning theme this term is Our Wonderful World.

 The music played in our assemblies this week is Mercy, Mercy Me (The Ecology) which is performed by Marvin Gaye.
